The Embassy of Thailand in Austria with Ambassador H.E. Pattarat Hongtong invited to a piano concert „Siam Sonata – A Musical Tour Through Thailand“ by the renowned and distinguished Thai pianist Mr. Nat Yontararak at Ehrbar Saal.
For over 35 years, Mr. Yontararak has created musical phenomena on world stages with his acclaimed piano recitals. The programme in Vienna includes the four-movement masterpiece „Siam Sonata”, a composition that intricately weaves together distinctive folk tunes from all four regions of Thailand, accompanied by live percussion and traditional dancers. The evening will also feature Mr. Yontararak’s piano solo composition “Crystal Pheasant” based on Thai folk melody, and his new composition “Nora Fantasy” inspired by Nora Dance, the traditional Southern Thai performance art inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
