Deputy Head of Mission Emma Baines invited to a reception on the occasion of the traditional Bonfire Night, also known in the UK as Guy Fawkes Night, at the British Ambassador’s Residence. The tradition stems from the failed attempt on November 5, 1605 to blow up Parliament and assassinate King James I – with one of the most famous conspirators being Guy Fawkes.
