SOCIETY: Welcome to Austria Welcome Get-together

Gertrud Tauchhammer, publisher of SOCIETY Magazine and Maria Kuglitsch, Vice-President of the Board of Welcome to Austria invited to a Welcome Get-together at the beautiful Viennese wood garden of Villa Flora. The guests were greeted with welcome drinks and a presentation of Welcome to Austria before heading to the impressive Otto Wagner Villa of famous fantastic realist painter Ernst Fuchs. After an exclusive guided tour through the unique premises of Ernst Fuchs Museum, the guests returned to Villa Flora, where they had the chance to further connect with each other and taste the delicacies prepared by the board members of WA.

At the information desk of Welcome to Austria, guests interested in becoming a member had the chance to enrol and find further details and information about the organization.

About Welcome to Austria

WA is a dynamic and attractive association for spouses of diplomats and international civil servants accredited to Austria. Founded in 1997 by the then State Secretary Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner WA has been under the patronage of the Foreign Ministry ever since. The current President is Mag. Alexander Schallenberg, Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs. Aim of the Association is to promote the awareness and understanding of Austria’s rich cultural heritage and history past and present. Austrians, all volunteers, organise and host the programmes for our foreign members. These include a wide choice of activities ranging from art, music and history to cuisine. Visits to private homes, castles, museums, galleries and ateliers as well as excursions to places off the beaten track enrich the knowledge of Austria.
