BMEIA: Ambassadors‘ Visit to Vienna

Federal Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger, together with the Mayor and Governor of Vienna, Michael Ludwig, invited the heads of the international organizations and the OSCE, the heads of the resident permanent missions, and the resident bilateral Ambassadors, along with their partners, to the autumn excursion on Monday, September 29.

This autumn, the City of Vienna showcased some of the many facets of the federal capital. To begin with, participants could choose either to learn more about the history of Vienna’s water supply at the Favoriten Water Tower, or to visit Biotope City, a residential project by the City of Vienna focusing on climate-conscious construction. After a transfer to the Lainzer Tiergarten, the Director of Forestry of the City of Vienna provided insights into the city’s agricultural and forestry activities. At midday, Mayor and Governor Michael Ludwig hosted a luncheon reception at the Hermesvilla, focusing on urban agriculture and Viennese culinary delights. Finally, the participants visited the Augarten Porcelain Manufactory, one of Vienna’s most traditional companies.
