SOCIETY Publisher Gertrud Tauchhammer and the Ambassador of Hungary to Austria, H.E. Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi, invited to a summer party on the occasion of the presentation of the new SOCIETY issue with a special focus on Hungary, who took over the EU council presidency on July 1.
In the beautiful courtyard of the historic Hungarian Palais, the Ambassador welcomed the many guests and thanked SOCIETY for „bringing her country closer to the people here“, afterwards, Ms. Tauchhammer addressed the guests and emphasized what a great honor it is to celebrate the presentation of the newest SOCIETY issue in the beautiful and historic Hungarian Palais. The Chief of Protocol of the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs, Ambassador Maximilian Hennig, pointed out what excellent work both, the Hungarian Ambassador H.E. Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi and SOCIETY Magazine with Publisher Gertrud Tauchhammer, are doing in the field of diplomacy.
After the speeches, Ms. Tauchhammer called the present Ambassadors featured in the magazine – H.E. Azzeddine Farhane, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco and H.E. Li Song, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of China to the UN and other International Organizations – and the SOCIETY guest authors, former Trade Delegate Rudolf Thaler and former Ambassador Klaus Wölfer – to come on stage to reveal the newest issue of SOCIETY together.
The many guests – among them former US Ambassador to Austria and Personal Secretary to US President Ronald Reagan, Helene von Damm, former Austrian Ministers Nikolaus Berlakovich and Maria Rauch-Kallat, the Ambassadors from Iraq, H.E. Baker Fattah Hussen, Kenya, H.E. Maurice Makoloo, Morocco, H.E. Azzeddine Farhane, Sudan, H.E. Magdi El Nour, and Uzbekistan, H.E. Bakhtiyor Ibragimov – enjoyed the summer evening surrounded by the historic walls of one of the most beautiful Embassy buildings in Vienna.
