Government Delegation visit at Honorary Consulate of Cameroon in Vienna & Presentation of top-level project in Ebolowa

On July 30, 2022, the presentation of the project „Ebolowa New Dream Town“ took place in Vienna. „Ebolowa New Dream Town“ is meant to represent a new important pole for the capital city of Cameroon South Region, at the same time being a resonant development and model for the other countries of Central Africa regarding building sustainable cities and communities.

The project was prepared by the overall guidance of Emmanuel Assako (Country Director Manager, Africa-Balkan Chambers) in close collaboration with Avni Dervishi (Director of the project), Ervin Taci (Design Team Leader), Arjan Shtembari (Survey Specialist) and Erald Dervishi (Urban Planner). Furthermore, the project was enriched by several rounds of discussions held within the Cameroon country team as well as virtual consultations with the authorities, the private sector, academia, civil society organizations and development partners.

The high-ranking delegation from Cameroon with Felix Nguele Nguele, Gouverneur du Sud, Sylyac-Marie Movogo, Administrateur Civil Principal (Chevalier de l’Ordre de la Valeur), S. Majesté Effa Rene-Desire, Vice-Président du Conseil Régional du Sud, Ferdiiyand Eyizóo, Delequé Regional de l’Economie and Daniel Edjo’o, Maire de la Ville came to Vienna for the presentation and also visited Mag. Gertrud Tauchhammer in her function as Honorary Consul of Cameroon at the Consulate, where the project was discussed and Mag. Tauchhammer assured her full support.

More info: Ebolowa is the capital of Cameroon’s South Region (Mvila) with a population of 220.000 inhabitants (2019). It is home to an impressive selection of attractions and experiences and hosts an important number of administrative services. It is also endowed with rich natural resources and it is a gateway to the economy of Central Africa and a trade route between the economies of South and Central Africa.
