KR Prof. Mag. Gertrud Tauchhammer, Publisher of Diplomatic SOCIETY Magazine, and H.E. QI Mei, Ambassador of China to Austria, invited to a reception on the occasion of the 55th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Austria and the presentation of the new Diplomatic SOCIETY issue with a special focus on China. At the beautiful Embassy of China, the international guests were greeted by the moderator of the day, former Ambassador Dr. Klaus Wölfer, followed by welcome words by the host of the event, H.E. QI Mei, and speeches by Gertrud Tauchhammer, former Austrian President Dr. Heinz Fischer and Director of the Protocol Department of the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs, Mag. Maximilian Hennig. Then, Xu Jiaqi from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna enchanted the guests with his violin before the newest issue of Diplomatic SOCIETY was revealed and a „bilateral cake“ provided by Florian Macho was ceremonially cut. Last but not least, another highlight awaited the audience: the Steinway & Sons Spirio – the world’s finest high-resolution player piano – with recordings by Lang Lang, presented by Tobias Schröter, Country Manager, Steinway & Sons.
After the official part, the Embassy of China invited to a buffet with delicious traditional Chinese food.
