Gertrud Tauchhammer, publisher of SOCIETY Magazine and H.E. Nelson Antonio Tabajara de Oliveira, Ambassador of Brazil to Austria, invited to a festive reception on the occasion of the presentation of the new SOCIETY issue with a special focus on 200 years of independence of Brazil at the beautiful Palais of the Brazilian Embassy.
After the welcome words by Ambassador H.E. Nelson Antonio Tabajara de Oliveira and SOCIETY publisher Gertrud Tauchhammer, Bernhard Faustenhammer, Deputy Chief of Protocol of the Austrian Foreign Ministry and Robert Zischg, Director of the Department for Sub Saharan Africa, African Union (Austrian Foreign Ministry) greeted the guests. The speeches were followed by the unveiling of the newest issue of SOCIETY with a focus on Brazil including – among other stories – a portrait of the country, an interview with the Brazilian Ambassador and a story about Leopoldina von Habsburg, who was a decisive initiator of Brazilian independence. The international guests, among them the Ambassadors of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the Dominican Republic, Moldova, Portugal, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Uruguay as well as Camilla Habsburg and Ulrike Habsburg, enjoyed the festive atmosphere, perfected by Brazilian wine and delicacies.
