This year, Diplomatic SOCIETY publisher and owner Gertrud Tauchhammer and Editor-in-Chief Tanja Tauchhammer once again hosted the traditional Diplomatic SOCIETY Nowruz Festivity at Eurostars Grand Hotel Wien. Together with the Ambassador of Afghanistan, H.E. Manizha Bakhtari, the Director of the Azerbaijani Cultural Center in Austria, Ms. Leyla Gasimova, the Chargé d’Affaires of Iraq, Mr. Rahman Loan Muhsin Jothery, the Ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Nurzhan Shaildabekova, Russia, H.E. Andrey Grozov, Tajikistan, H.E. Manuchehr Jobir, Turkmenistan, H.E. Hemra Amannazarov – represented by the Head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society, Neda Berger – and Uzbekistan, H.E. Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, the reception once again generated a space where cultures and traditions met in a peaceful and joyful way. The various culinary delicacies and the showcases of traditional handicraft at the stands of the Embassies were only two of the many elements that transformed the evening into a beautiful spring festivity as well as an enchanting journey through the countries that celebrate Nowruz.
Ambassador emerit. Klaus Wölfer led through this magical evening that started with a welcome speech by host Gertrud Tauchhammer, followed by speeches by all participating Ambassadors and Representatives and ended with beautiful and entertaining musical performances by artists from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
