Diplomatic SOCIETY & Desert Flower Foundation: Opening of Waris Dirie’s „Mogadishu Blues“ Exhibition at Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien

KR Prof. Mag. Gertrud Tauchhammer, Owner of Diplomatic SOCIETY Magazine, together with Waris Dirie, Founder & President of Desert Flower Foundation, invited to the world premiere of an exhibition of paintings by world famous activist, supermodel and bestseller author Waris Dirie under the motto „Mogadishu Blues“. The international guests of the opening were the first ones to see the mesmerizing art by Dirie, who was once inspired and encouraged by none other than Sir Elton John to paint and make art.

At the renowned Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien, the „Mogadishu Blues“ paintings can still be admired until Sunday, April 27, 2025. Furthermore, the expressive acrylic paintings as well as lithographs, posters and postcards can be bought, with the proceeds directly benefiting the Desert Flower Foundation, which was founded by Waris Dirie to fight against Female Genital Mutilation.
