U.S. Ambassador-designate Arthur “Art” Graham Fisher arrived in Vienna

He will be officially accredited as the Ambassador of the United States of America to Austria by Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen on November 19.

Upon his arrival, Fisher said he was very pleased “to begin my service as Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Austria on behalf of President Trump and the American people. Representing my country in such an important place as Austria is the honor of a lifetime.” He emphasized his intention “to further strengthen the long-standing friendship and close partnership between our two countries.”

Fisher also stated, “I look forward to working with the Federal President and the Austrian government in the future. Together, we will enhance one of the strongest partnerships that two countries can ever share.”

Before his appointment, Art Fisher built a successful real estate business in North Carolina and was among the leading real estate agents there.

His strong social and charitable commitment is evident from his long-standing role on the board of Transylvania Vocational Services – an organization that helps people with disabilities find meaningful employment.

He has worked closely with the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, the Lee Greenwood Patriot Awards for Helping a Hero, the Brevard College Fine Arts Gala, and numerous other initiatives. In recognition of his contributions, Art Fisher was inducted into the Dynastic Order of the Royal House of Bourbon and was knighted.
